Wow this is 10 times better than I ever Expected What a Bargain even got 2 KO PROPO Fet Servos installed a reciver and a proper reciver pack .........

Thank God there is a front diff included as well as I was a bit worried about trying to drive it with the spool up front it has installed at the moment ..

If this Car has been run more than 5 times i would be very surprised there is only a few marks on the chassie

Ill post Pics as soon as I have given it a clean up , off to the garage now to remove the reciver pack and see if it will take a charge ...............

Pics to follow .................. q3

Reciver Pack has taken a charge  q14
Steering Servo not good has a mind of its own ( ill come out and have one of my Spare KO ones in its place )
Engine has good compression ( can't start it until my glow plug heater arrives )
The Shell is Brand new one of the pre painted ones ( Nice )

Build Quality is as good as X-Ray if you ask me
& this RD Turbo 2 Tuned Pipe is well CooooooL & the Engine is a Turbo too  q3  q3

Wow can't stop cleaning and trying to work out how to take it apart to change the front Spool to the Diff so many parts to take off & when you havn't built it from scratch its always a worry

Only Thing I need is some sort of Box to put the reciver in ........

Oh and My New Engine from my Lovely Wife for Xmas as I bought the car she said she would get me the Engine ( Just in case as this one is 2 Years old ) and by the markings on the wheels its been Raced at a high level with all the setup info in the box as well it was a top racer I would guess )

Pics to follow ...........

Sounds as though you're having fun!
Make sure you bring everything down to club on Friday night, we can have a look at it and maybe even start it to see how it sounds - can't race it round which is a shame.

Got my New air filter today , Damm it doesn't fit , It has a very small bore to the rubber tube which goes over the Carb  Mine has a very large bore Carb .Just noticed on the Demon site the other air filter is for the .12 Wide mouth ......... I orded the 1/10th air filter

Damm thought it would be easy to line up the starter box to the car took over 30mins  q11

Good news though the Glow starter is on charge in the Garage so give it an hour and I am going to try to start the beast  q3  q3  q3

Still Looks Cool sitting there

THERE IS LIFE AND SHE SOUNDS VERY VERY GOOD ,Started first tune on the starter box Cooooolllllll  .. nice sound clutch works as wheels turn at high speed although I would have thought they should start to turn sooner ????????

Only thing is as soon as you pull the brakes on the engine cuts out ???? is this a Radio setup issue or a linkage issue or somthing else

AnyWay all going in the right direction for its first outing on the 14th Dec as long as its dry as the only thing the car did not come with is some sort of box for the reciver to go into ..........................

Next Job mounting the shell ....................

Most likely your idle screw on the carb needs adjusting.

As for the clutch, either too much preload on the central spring(Needs loads of revs for the clutch shoes to move outwards) or too much end play on the bell(oo er missus)(Clutch shoes having to move a long way out to reach the bell housing).

Paul.

Well there is not to much more to say apart from WOW ITS VERY FAST to fast if I was to tell the truth

Engine needs to be tuned by someone who knows what they are doing , I have tried but its not right some times when its been run the tickover is far to high the next time after I have stopped it then tried it again its slow again ??? I don't know BUT I have tried  q14

Had to give up on my tuning as I could not see a lot in the garage due to all that white smoke

I am going to use my old radio gear for the Nitro as the lovely KO needed cleaning for 15 mins to get it clean and it still stinks of nitro ... Back to the old 40meg 3VC for nitro befor next weekend thats for sure ............ q3  q3

Well it had its first outing today & Yes for the 5 mins or so I had it running well it was GREAT , Easyier to drive than i thought it would be !! Even though it was a wet track ............

I could only try to get the engine tuned in between rounds today as i got water in it on my first practice run this morning so felt it best not to enter in the Nitro class , At last I got it running ok not perfect but ok with help from Craig Woods & mr B and while everyone else was searching the field trying to find Sharpies Car I was able to give it a good 5 min bash and it was great . So I asked if I could try to qualify for the Nitro in the last round to which Paul said yes !!!

On the line ready for the off and yes it went off BUT as soon as it changed into second gear all the teeth seemed to disapear from the second gear cog  q11  q11

Well never mind it was a step in the right direction today it was fun and exciting and only caused £3.50 in damage , There is hope for the future as i felt the car felt good But Ryk said it was to firm a setup and would have gone better if it was softer  q14

And for what I paid everyone said it was as I felt a real Bargain  q3

Hopfuly ill be able to have a day out testing at Snetterton over the Xmas holiday , Which I feel is needed to get the engine running just right .
