I have to say that a lot of the earlier buggies look very similar to me. Now ive looked at it a little closer im leaning towards the US and thinking maybe an assiocated buggy but again i really dont know that much about them.

It's definitely a Kyosho, but not the Optima (which did come out in 1983).
