Fitting brushless motors into E4 |
|
Can someone please help me. I am trying to fit a Avantage brushless motor into my E4, I can get it in but then there is so little movement available its difficult to get the right gearing and meshing.
I know that some people have modified their cars can someone point me in the direction of these details.
Many Thanks
Anthony. 8)

I had to ask the same question on RCTECH forum, had the same issue. If you take a look at the link below and on page 26 of the thread, there are a number of answers and pics that you should find helpful.

Thanks Moggers
Thats the sort of thing I was looking for.
Did you make the changes and what difference did it make?

Yeah, at the time I was trying to fit the Orion brushless in, and had room to mesh only a couple of pinions, very little room at all. I carefully made the same modifications, but as mine is a RS version, I had to be careful as the parts are plastic (not metal).
I'm still a little restricted on what spurs to use, but it gives you loads more options than previously. I've had no issue since. I now run the Speed Passion motors and they fit just as well, no issue.
