im still not totaly sold that the hole car is leagal yet but im sure somone would have kicked up a fuss at the stcc if it was not so i spoz its ok. i just think that due to the size of the caps and that theyare holding a fair chrage from what i hear, you could class them as a cell as them themselfves becuse they still are holding charge that is going to the moter but then that would make all caps banded. i dont want the car banded or anything think its a great pice of engering. just putting in a point that i hope somone will be able to explan to me a bit more.

The caps we have installed at the moment are the same type as you would get with a speedo package, we just have bigger ones and more of them.

With regards to banning caps, there is nothing in the BRCA rules that says you aren't allowed to run them. But I dont think it's possible to say we are effectively running another load of cells because of the different way in which the caps charge and discharge themselves. Cells require a chemical reaction to create charge whereas caps store a static charge between two plates meaning a high voltage but very little duration. It wouldn't be practical to run a car on capacitors alone.

I think someone will only kick up a fuss about our car if we start winning!!
