New Cyclone coming

http://www.hpiracing.co.jp/contents/hotbodies/cyclone_tc/

Looks the same as the Cyclone but with small changes BUT to me does not look as good as the current MoorSpeed Edition ,,,

From the pics the rollbars are different and the top deck and the cell tray for those of you still running cells and it may have the New Pro rear diff but it has not got the amount of Purple as the current Moorspeed edition  :smt003

Well having seen one close up and Spoken to the driver I am impressed , It does seem much improved from the old Cyclone with a few nice touches.........

The Cyclone TC is the ultimate refinement of the top Hot Bodies touring car. It has all the latest updates and advanced features that Hot Bodies team drivers like Atsushi Hara, Ronald Volker and Andy Moore use to dominate race weekends all around the world.

The new 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis plate has been designed to take the recently released plastic battery holders, while the front upper deck appears to be taken from the carpet conversion but has been made from 2mm carbon fibre.

The rear upper plate is also 2mm thick but has been made from FRP material.

The rear of the car has been supplied with a revised ball differential while the front sports a one way/solid front axle that comes with pins to change between the two options.

For performance improvements there are the new shock bodies for smoother shock action, while new front and rear graphite wishbones give an extra lower shock mount.

The front and rear sway bars now have a push rod which are much easier to adjust.

For performance improvements there are the new shock bodies for smoother shock action, while new front and rear graphite wishbones give an extra lower shock mount. Finally, there is the Cyclone TC sway bar holder that includes everything you need to upgrade to this new system with the exception of the anti-roll bar.

The Cyclone TC includes a wide range of improvements:

   * Pro Spec Ball Diff in rear
   * HB Two-Way front one-way/spool
   * Larger 18T centre pulleys
   * FRP middle block deck for increased rear traction
   * Revised main chassis for improved weight distribution
   * Altered upper deck with provisions for HB ATC (Adjustable Torsion Control) posts
   * Stronger upper bulkheads for improved crash protection
   * Thicker low-mount shock towers to fit extra-low bodyshells
   * New reversible suspension arms with more suspension mount options
   * Easy-adjust sway bar holders for fast fine-tuning
   * Moulded battery tray for easy fitting of batteries
   * Extra-efficient universal dogbones

will u b buying one then trev..

this is wat malc hall said bout the car...

Not so much as issues when it comes to building the car, but the quality of parts compared to the WCE version.

Heres my list

1) Plastic main bearing carriers, instead of the alloy purple ones you get with the WCE, to me the parts seem cheap, and could possibly distort with the heat thats generated from the bearings, jmo

2) Ariel mount is plastic (purple alloy in the WCE version)

3) Plastic servo mounts (purple alloy in the WCE version) could brake in a crash.

4) Plastic shock adjusters,(purple alloy in the WCE version) which move far to easy for my liking, and therefore can get accidentally spun round without noticing, and will upset the cars handling.

4a) Plastic shock retainers (purple alloy in the WCE version)

5) Plastic shock mounts (purple alloy in the WCE version) these are gona wear easier.

6) GRP rear deck ( why couldn't this been CF like the rest of the car)

7) Front bumper brace (this could of been made from CF to)

8) The turn buckles are black, not to fussed on this one, but not to sure of the strength of them, are they made from the same material as the WCE ones?

It would of been nice to have had all of the above as per WCE, so if someone could enlighten me to why this car has these plastic parts instead of the purple alloy parts, as this is supposed to be a high end car, and at $449 retail (I think) it should of come with the alloy parts

I do like the new rear diff though, other than the way you have to adjust it, but I might have a way round this (watch this space)
The multi diff at the front is also a nice touch, saves all the hassle of changing from one type of front drive to another.
I also like the drive-shaft make up, as the old ones seem to wear easy, even though I have a tool whereas you can drill new holes in the drive-shaft cups (called a Drill-Shaft-Tool, to view this, go to www.coolcanfan.com) are these drive-shafts the same as the ones used in the S, Cyclone?

Hope this is not to much negativity, but just like to know why the TC has these parts.
Cheers Malc THECANMAN
