LRP X11 screws coming out !!!

I have an LRP X11 13.5 which has a problem with the long screws which hold on the front of the can .... They are just spinning when you try to tighten them up

Do they just screw into plastic in the sensor end of the can ???

I have taken both ends off but you can't get it apart enough to see what the problem is ...

Can anything be done to change where the screws locate or is it ready for the BIN
